Spencer has reached the 2 week mark and I have to admit that it is true what they say about your baby waking up around 2 weeks. The past 3 days, there has definitely been a difference in his sleep and wake patterns. He is not sleeping as well and often only goes 2 to 3 hours between nursing now as opposed to 4 hours last week. He has also cried for the first time over something other than diaper changes, being naked, being hungry, and baths. He just cries! It's not much, but I would certainly call it fussy. I still think he is an angel, though! And last night when we gave him a bath, I lowered him into the water VERY slowly and he did not cry at all until we started washing him. That's progress!
He had his 2-week check-up last Friday. He had gained 8 1/2 ounces since the previous week and was up to 7 lb 11 1/2 oz. I guess he's getting plenty of milk!
I am taking walks every day and beginning to really enjoy this mom thing. Brad continues to try and help whenever he can, though has a difficult time when he can't get Spencer settled down and will quite easily hand him over to me. He is trying hard though, telling him stories and singing him silly songs when he is fussy, and it is a joy to watch.
