1 month old

Spencer celebrated his 1-month birthday today.  I can't believe it's already been a month...time has flown by.  He is getting chunkier by the day, filling out his arms and thighs.  And he is smiling now...it is one of the most rewarding sights I've ever seen.  He makes my heart smile!  He is still a very good baby.  He slept for 5 hours last night...although that was followed by every 2-3 hours.  But I am not complaining - I think I still have it very good.

He took a bath with his daddy for the first time last night.  I think they both really enjoyed themselves.  When I toweled his hair dry after the bath, the towel came away with lots of his little hairs on it.  It's not too bad, but his full head of hair is thinning out, starting at the front and moving back.  He has a receding hairline already!

Spencer will be a world traveler in a few weeks.  We have booked a trip to France to visit Brad's parents.  His dad has been in and out of the hospital, and neither of his parents have been able to travel here to meet their grandson.  So we decided to take Spencer to meet his grandparents.  I am nervous about the long flight (almost 13 hours), as well as traveling around Paris for 2 weeks, but we will figure it out.  And a few weeks after we get home, I'm off to Boston to visit my sister.  So the little bubba will be racking up the frequent flier miles in the next few months.

Time goes by so quickly, so it is great that you are aware of how precious little Spencer is and will be able to treasure the things you have already found to love. It is so great to hear you loving being a mom. Do you wonder how you were ever happy before this?
