Brad's mom had a tough time getting here due to the weather. She was delayed leaving Paris by two days due to the weather in Portland, then on Christmas eve, she got stuck in Atlanta. Brad's brother flew her out to Boston, since it was too late to get a flight into Portland. She spent a few days there, then flew out her on the 27th and spent the next 2 weeks with us. It was the first time she'd been here in over 2 years and it was great to have her. It was great to see her make Spencer laugh and to see his face light up when he saw her. Between Brad's mom and my sister's family, the house was eerily quiet with everybody gone. We are already planning our next get-together... North Captiva island in Florida in April!
