33 weeks

Moving right along...only 7 weeks to go! I've definitely got a basketball belly now. I am starting to get a little tired halfway through the day and my ankles, or should I say cankles, are now consistently swollen, but I otherwise feel great. The baby continues to move A LOT and I have still not tired of feeling him and watching him move. The nursery is basically ready. I have not washed any of his clothes yet...I figure that I need something to do the last few weeks before he comes. My last day of work is August 1st. I can't wait to be done. It's starting to get difficult to get up and down repeatedly at work. I could throw in the towel, but that would be wimping out and I'm determined to make it through the end of this month! I will probably have to start wearing compression stockings to help with the swelling, which also means switching to long pants, but it might be worth it since patient's are starting to comment on the size of my feet and ankles! The good news is that baby appears to be healthy and growing normally. I had my 32 week check-up last week and he measured normal for 32 weeks and his head is down. I hope it stays that way! I really want to do this the old fashioned way (well, with the epidural, of course) and will be a little bummed if for some reason I need a C-section. If the rest of the ladies in my family are any indication, I'm good-to-go!
