Tomorrow is the beginning of my 35th week. It's hard to believe I only have 36 days to go! I'm so excited. Everything is going great. The baby continues to be very active and is stretching my stomach to the limits with some of his acrobatics. I am feeling pretty tired by mid-afternoon and I continue to have lots of swelling in my ankles, but I think I'll survive another 5 to 7 weeks of this. We spent all weekend on the river and it felt great to submerge my swollen feet in the frigid Willamette...it was very refreshing. I of course did all of the boat driving and didn't partake in the festivities, but enjoyed myself immensely. We're hoping to make a trip to Lake Merwin/Lake Yale in a few weeks, which is about an hour north of us, and maybe camp for one night. We'll see how I'm feeling and if I'm up for it!
Bradford, gotta love him, continues to be very supportive. One day last week I had a melt down when my ankles were already huge and uncomfortable at 7:30 in the morning, before I even left for work. I couldn't fit into ANY of my shoes, I was overheating, my face looked swollen, and I just started crying and couldn't stop. He asked me if I needed a hug, then gave me a big hug and assured me it would be over soon, to which I cried, "no it won't, I still have at least 6 weeks!" I left the house still crying a little, cried some more when I got to work, then finally got a grip a few hours into my morning. He called me a few hours later, to make sure I was feeling better and to say something funny to make me laugh. He will turn 43 this week and will be heading to Washington for a few nights with Terry and 10 other guys for a 2-day golf trip. After that, there will be no more leaving me unattended or going anywhere without his cell phone (which he is notorious for), just in case Baby Black decides he's ready to make his appearance.
The nursery is ready. I had another baby shower at work last week, at which I got lots of onesies and clothes and a few gifts off of my registry. I have one more shower on August 9th which Dr. Adamcak is throwing for me. Talitha will be able to make it to that one, which I'm very happy about. Speaking of Talitha, today is her 36th birthday...Happy Birthday T!

are you sure you didn't just eat a basketball? BTW, you look great, even if your ankles are swollen.

Wow! I hope I look that good at 36 weeks but I'm afraid I'll be wearing a sweater and a turtleneck! You're almost there and I can't wait to meet the little guy!
