My First Baby Shower

Fran and Pam threw me a baby shower today.  I say first because they are throwing me one at work and one of the doctor's I work with is throwing me another shower in August, when Talitha will be here.  Today's shower was conveniently right across the street at Fran's house.  They had it catered and the food was delicious, along with some tasty raspberry lemonade!  We played a couple of fun games - the one where they melt candy bars in a diaper and you have to guess which candy bars are in there was disgusting.   And then we opened the gifts, which is always a lot of fun!  I got a few things off my registry, a few adorable outfits, a fleece monkey blanket that my mom made, and a pair of DC skate shoes from my sister that are the cutest shoes I've ever seen!  I was very touched by everyone coming to a party in my honor and I love all of the gifts.  I can't wait to show Brad when he gets home - he went golfing this afternoon with the boys.  Someone asked me if he would really want to see everything and I can safely say "yes", he is surprisingly interested to see everything I get for this baby.  He can't stop making jokes about the Bugaboo stroller I got, calling it the cadillac of strollers and saying his wife of course had to have nothing but the best.  Well, I can settle for much less than the best, but I must say than I love the stroller and am happy he finally agreed to let me get it.  So now our house is filling up with baby items that now are spreading beyond the nursery, making all of this a bit more of a reality.  Ali brought me her swing and a bouncy chair today, which currently occupy our living room.  There really is a lot of stuff involved with having a baby!  Travel will be very interesting from now on!

BBB Continues to make us wait, but while he does, you look great. You also look like you feel great. Two more months and a little monkey lover will be here. I can hardly wait!
