30 weeks

I'm 3/4 of the way through...roughly 10 weeks to go!  Look at the difference in these pictures between 15 and 30 weeks.  I can't imagine how big my belly will be in another 10 weeks!

I feel great...I think that I felt the baby having hiccups for the first time last night.  That was pretty cool, imagining him in their floating around and hiccuping!  Not much new to report...the Braxton-Hicks continue but I'm getting used to them now.  My back pain is still there but it comes and goes and lately hasn't been too bad.  I'm lathering 100% cocoa butter on my belly (and the surrounding areas) every day and so far, I'm thrilled to say that I have not found any stretch marks.  My belly still has a lot of growing to do, so I'm not in the clear yet, but I'm doing what I can and hoping that genetics is on my side.  As of today, I've gained about 22 pounds and will soon be tipping the scales at 140...yikes!  The good news is, I'm no longer stressing about it.  And I'm sure it helps when my husband tells my almost daily that I look great.  He's been very supportive and helpful thus far...I'm pretty lucky!

Let's see...what else?  When I sit in certain positions, I can already feel the baby up under my ribcage and I'm realizing that it could be a long summer.  I have to take Zantac on a daily basis now to keep the heartburn under control.  I also had to stop eating and drinking within a few hours of going to bed because I've started experiencing this lovely new phenomenon called regurgitation.  I haven't actually "regurgitated" my dinner or dessert (yes, I do have dessert a few times a week), but it has been sitting in my throat and it is very uncomfortable and disgusting.  So I am also sleeping on 2 pillows now!  And with all of these new things going on in my body, I'm still feeling great and really enjoying being pregnant.  I'm so excited that there are only 10 (or maximum of 12) weeks to go before we get to meet this little guy!

I have my first baby shower next weekend and am very excited about that as well...let the fun begin!

Mom's second edition... I know that you know and believe how Brad is truly in love with you and this Baby Boy Black. I love him for that. He really is another of my so called 'keepers'. Just treasure all that is happening so fast, and yet seems to be taking so long. August will be here soon!
