Although we already were pretty sure we were having a boy, it didn't really settle in until my ultrasound last Wednesday confirmed it. (In the picture on the left, the "V" shape are the legs/thighs, the bottom of the "V" is his bottom, and the pointy thing in the middle of the "V", where the arrow is, is his winkie!) Maybe it won't completely settle in until we see him for the first time. But we are so excited about the idea of a little boy, and at the same time still find it so unbelievable that the baby kicking and rolling around inside of me is a boy! It sounds weird to say "nephew" to my sisters, or "grandson" to my mom. But as I feel him wiggling around right now inside me, I picture this beautiful baby boy bringing so much joy to our lives and it makes me want to cry. Time seems to be moving slowly, although I'm almost 18 weeks and that's just a few weeks short of halfway! I feel good, other than still getting tired around 2:30 or 3:00 everyday. On the weekends, I usually take a nap still. I had to buy new bras AGAIN last week, 34C now, if you can believe it. No complaints there. And my belly continues to grow, though I notice pregnant women all around me now and realize my belly is tiny still! The pictures below don't show much change. Like I said, it's slow-going right now! I think I was rather bloated in the first picture, probably making me look a little more pregnant than I was. Today, no bloating...just baby and stretching belly!
