These are a few of my favorite things

Putting Spencer's handprints in the new driveway...he wasn't too thrilled by mommy smashing his hands into the wet concrete. I thought he'd like it, as he usually loves playing in the dirt and gravel. He actually likes throwing the rocks. That's fun. His unhappiness here may have had something to do with me SMASHING and SQUISHING his little hands, as the concrete was not ultra-soft by this time. But look how cute...

A new favorite...I can't get through loading/unloading the dishwasher without Spencer inevitably hearing me and coming to help. I have to take out all of the silverware. Otherwise, he does it for me. And last night I found a slinky in the bottom of the dishwasher. Hmmm...wonder who put that there?

And here's another favorite...the electric toothbrush. As soon as he hears it, he's headed our way to get his hands on it or put his mouth on it as we brush our teeth. Last week he wandered off with my nice new Sonicare. I had looked in every nook and cranny, basket, drawer. Or so I thought. I finally found it yesterday in the bottom drawer of an armoire in our front room. Along with a few other goodies he's stashed there.

And last, but not least, his ultimate favorite activity these days. Thanks to this beautiful Indian summer we're having, we are still enjoying the great outdoors and spending time in the water. We have taken him a few times to a newer water park down by the river, at Willamette Park. The water shoots up a little lower and there is a walkway between the 2 fountains. He seems to like it a lot more than the one by our house and has no fear putting his whole body, even his face, in the water. What a guy!
