Well, I'm happy to say that I think we've finally overcome the bottle hurdle. After we got home from France, we just couldn't get him to take a bottle anymore. He would scream and cry and I would resort to nursing him. I started reading some blogs about women with similar problems and got a few ideas. I decided to give him the bottle while he was in his bouncy chair or carseat and quickly remove his pacifier then pop the bottle in. I also did this before he got too hungry or upset. After a week of doing this successfully almost every day, I was able to give him the bottle without first using a pacifier, then I tried holding him again and it's been smooth sailing! I also switched to a Playtex nurser and he seems to really like this. Now we can think about getting a babysitter one of these days!

Those Playtex nursers will do it every time! That's what we used in the 60's....
