Believe it or not, our little spider monkey is 6 months already! He is changing every day...it is so amazing. He sits really well now and needs very little support. He can spin 360 degrees on his bum! He can also get onto his stomach, without falling, and push himself in circles and backwards. I have walked away for a few minutes, left him sitting, and came back to find him on the other side of the room. Yikes! I think he may be crawling soon, which is scary and exciting at the same time.
He giggles and smiles all the time, still loves his tubbies, loves to be thrown in the air and to look at himself in the mirror...he is a very happy baby. He is getting over a pretty bad cold right now, but even through that he had lots of smiles for us. He still doesn't sleep through the night, though he did sleep almost 7 hours last night, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there are longer stretches ahead.
What else??? He eats all kinds of fruits and veggies, three times a day. I'm only nursing 5 or 6 times a day now. He still won't take a bottle, but is starting to drink out of a sippy cup and regular cup. I'm still working just 2 days a week and we're interviewing nannies next week...it's time! With him getting ready to crawl, I can't take him to work much longer. This makes me extremely sad, but I'm going to give it a try.
So, to sum up the past 6 months, it has been the best 6 months of my life and every day I love my little spider monkey more and more. I cannot wait for each and every milestone. It is the hardest, most exhausting job I've ever done, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. This is what it's all about!!!
