The last few weeks have been good. The pregnancy is moving along uneventfully. Well, for the most part. I have been having a lot of Braxton-Hicks contractions, but they are not painful. I was having them every 5-10 minutes while at work on Friday, so the OB said drink more water and put your feet up when you get home. I did that and they slowed down. He is moving more and more and the movements are becoming so strong. It's really cool. Brad asked me the other day what it felt like to have him moving around inside me all the time. It's hard to explain! He was looking at my belly last night and remarked, "it's unbelievable". When I asked him what he meant, he said "what's going on in there". It's amazing and I am loving it. I guess we both are.
We spent all day out on the river yesterday, boating with friends. Our friends Sean and Kim were visiting from Seattle, so we squeezed nine people onto the boat and had a great day. The weather has been fabulous and I am loving it. I have planted most of my flowers already and have paid the price for a few days with back pain, but it was worth it. We sat outside this morning for breakfast and between the blue sky, flowers, trees, and chirping birds it was very peaceful and relaxing. I am looking forward to the rest of this summer and the surprise that awaits us at summer's end.
